Pete was born in Quinton, Birmingham in 1965 and says his daughter Bethany inspired him to write children’s poems “as I wanted to read poetry to her that was fun”. He then branched out exploring other facets of his life’s experiences with many of his adult pieces inspired by his partner, Dawne. Pete works looking after adults with autism and says that he loves the job, finding it incredibly rewarding.
