Nothing terrifies a Head teacher, even a good one, and his staff more than an Ofsted inspection. Ian Meacheam has spent most of his working life in education. He was a teacher of English and Drama in secondary schools and following various roles in senior management became a school advisor focusing on School Improvement. He continues to train school senior leaders in the West Midlands area and he is chair of governors at a primary school. Consequently he is well versed in the trials and tribulations of Ofsted inspections and found writing his first satirical novel, ‘An Inspector Called’, a cathartic experience. He lives in Lichfield with his wife Ann, and they have one son. In his spare time Ian writes poetry and is a great fan and collector of Prog Rock!
