IAN MEACHEAM

AN INSPECTOR CALLED Nothing terrifies a Head teacher, even a good one, and his staff more than an Ofsted inspection. By turns humourous, tragic and sexy, Ian Meacheam explores the life of a school at risk of being judged wanting in its results and its teaching.
TIME AND THE CONSEQUENCES Whatmore School is on the rise…or are the Senior Leadership Team all just deluded fools? The tragi-comic sequel to ‘An Inspector Called’.

Also available his poetry collections ‘Stone People Glass Houses’ and ‘Shining Lights Dark Matters’ and short story collections ‘Broad Lines Narrow Margins’, ‘Seven Stages’ and ‘Faing Men Passing Womwn’.

Ian Meacheam has spent most of his working life in education. He was a teacher of English and Drama in secondary schools and following various roles in senior management became a school advisor focusing on School Improvement. He continues to train school senior leaders in the West Midlands area and he is chair of governors at a primary school. Consequently he is well versed in the trials and tribulations of Ofsted inspections and found writing his first satirical novel, ‘An Inspector Called’, a cathartic experience.  He lives in Lichfield with his wife Ann, and they have one son.  In his spare time Ian writes poetry and is a great fan and collector of Prog Rock!
