Birmingham-based Alex O’Connor has a background in regional journalism, both in England and Scotland, winning a number of awards along the way.
Experienced in both news and economics, a spell in PR followed, mainly in the business-to-business and personal finance sectors.
Dabbling in children’s writing for the five to 12 age range, Alex self-published three books.
However, they say there is a novel inside every journalist.
Ultimately, it was a challenge that proved irresistible.
Time for the Polka Dot is the outcome.
