“I’m a self-taught landscape and cityscape photographer. Originally from Warwickshire, I’ve adopted Birmingham as my home since moving here in 1972. I started out with Zenith and Praktika manual film cameras back in the mid 1970s and moved into the digital age in 2006 when I spent some years abroad exploring the varied beautiful landscapes of Spain.
“I enjoy recording the changing face of Birmingham as it constantly evolves. I especially like the waterways system, and as we are often told it has more canals than Venice! We have some great local photographers that I often travel around with and exhibit regularly in the Gunmakers Arms and on social media.
“I decided to put a collection of my images into print so that they are available for future generations to see what Birmingham was like at the beginning of the 21st century. I hope you enjoy them.”
