Then I want to find time to compile booklets on parties in the garden, easy main dishes and a vehicle for favourite recipes like my Grandmother’s saffron buns (a Cornish speciality), Rebirtha Hart’s Guyanese and Marie-Christine Marquard’s French versions of banana cake and following a baking course cheese scones and olive oil cake…
And apple and cinnamon pie…
Food as you can tell is important which takes me back to curries:
In some ways similar to our annotated discographies for record collectors, we’re aiming to publish a series of guides for readers on the authors we respect or love. They aren’t comprehensive literary biographies but for ninety-nine pence or $1.29 they will provide an overview of each writer’s life and work as well as a complete reading list.
We intend to cover the following writers initially:
Stefan Zweig, Richard Brautigan, Ray Bradbury, Pat Conroy, Thorne Smith, Jerzy Kosinski, Tom Robbins, Giovanni Guareschi, Nevil Shute, Iain Banks, Michael Moorcock, James M Cain, John Sandford and Paulo Coelho.
In addition two titles in our ‘In Search Of…’ series are also intended to be guides for readers, covering the work of Russell Thorndyke, the author of Doctor Syn (alias The Scarecrow), and also A N Roquelaure (an early pseudonym used by Anne Rice).
In homage to the work of British sci-fi writer Edmund Cooper, inspired by his novels of the 1960s and 1970s, particularly ‘Transit’ and ‘Seahorse In The Sky’, a recreation as a story for the 21st century.
Following on from the booklet on Stutthof published in 2015, a full history of this little know concentration camp in Poland is in its research phase. No publication date for ‘Stutthof: Life and Death Under The SS’ has yet been fixed.
